Managerial and Organizing Skills
To handle bulk orders for their products our women-members are trained in basic managerial and organizing skills. The workspace is coordinated by one staff member who is from the community where the workspace is located. Women-members are divided into production groups and are led by rotating leaders from within the group.
Since, our women-members aspire to starting their own successful enterprises in a few years, they learn a variety of business skills while producing products at our workspaces.
Not only to our women-members Learn@Work, they also participate in periodic leadership and skill development workshops that bring them together with members from other workspaces and also our global volunteers. Such interactions are critical to help our members gain confidence and skills, and also understand precisely the extensiveness of the Ubuntu at Work support network.
